Jim Astle is a Partner and Head of the Corporate Defence & Crime Team. He has many years experience of acting in criminal cases and in disciplinary proceedings for both students and educational establishments, including several Colleges of Oxford University and the University itself. He also advises and represents clients in town and country planning Hearings and Public Inquiries and in hearings before Licensing Authority Panels . Jim also sits as a Deputy District Judge.

Prisca BradleyPrisca Bradley
 
Prisca is an Associate in the Employment Law Team and acts for a range of clients and advises schools on a variety of employment law issues. She has experience in dealing with non- contentious matters, but now primarily handles contentious work specialising in discrimination law and Whistleblowing. Prisca also advises on the recruitment and retention of key staff, claim avoidance and reorganisations and redundancies for employers. She also provides advice on the drafting of employment contracts, policies and procedures and termination agreements. Prisca is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association.

Hannah is a Solicitor in the Medical Negligence Team. Hannah advises schools in respect of disability discrimination in education and also assists parents of children with special educational needs in ensuring their child’s needs are met by the local authority. Hannah has experience of the Special Educational Needs Tribunal process in respect of both disability discrimination claims and appealing local authority decisions regarding special educational needs.

Graham BridgmanGraham Bridgman
 
Graham is a Partner in the firm and heads up our In The Black debt recovery service. Graham has specialised in recoveries litigation throughout his career – initially in industry and private practice, and then in his own firm. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Credit Management and holder of the Institute's prestigious Meritorious Service Award. Graham and his team regularly advise schools regarding parent contracts and fees collection, including fees in lieu of notice. Graham and the team often negotiate settlement agreements and instalment arrangements with parents who are in arrears, or take court or insolvency action as part of the recovery process where our free letter service has not produced immediate payment. Graham is also experienced in pursuing parents living abroad, including the issue of proceedings and service in accordance with local law followed by judgment and enforcement.
